DESCRIPTION:

MGA is committed to preparing Maryland's eldercare workforce. 

The field of aging is rapidly evolving. With advancing technologies, care models, and healthcare, there is a growing need for Maryland professionals to remain knowledgeable of the most relevant gerontology issues and industry trends. Join MGA each month for a member only Coffee Break with MGA speakers’ series. Attendees will participate in a 30-minute interactive conversation with community influencers and local disruptors who are at the forefront of innovative care solutions and strategies. 

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:  

  1. Define the highlighted aging-related issue.  

  2. Recognize the impact of the identified aging-related issue. 

  3. Describe strategies to address the identified aging-related issue.    

PRESENTER:

Meghan Kramer has worked to support Marylanders with disabilities for the last nine years, initially as a case manager working directly with individuals served.  She earned a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Maryland and spent several years in the non-profit space before joining the Department of Health in 2024.  She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Nursing and Waiver Services in the Office of Long Term Services and Supports, overseeing the operations of six Home and Community Based Service programs.  As a Maryland native, she is proud to serve her community and enrich the lives of her fellow citizens.
